Senior Pictures With A Sssssurprise

I had fun shooting this sweet girl and her violin.  We drove out to Merrimac Farm Wildlife Management Area in Nokesville, VA.  It had been raining for 15 days straight and we had already had to reschedule once.  We got the perfect amount of sun, but as soon as we were finishing up, the rain came back with a vengeance!  This will always be a memorable shoot for me, because we were surprised by a five foot long black rat snake!!  He even photobombed some of the shots before we knew he was there!  Thanks for this fun opportunity K.

Caleb - Class of 2016

I am totally biased...but this kid is so amazing and handsome!  He graduates in two weeks and then is off to learn about adulting (aka college)!  Love my boy!  -mj

Individual Sports Cards

This is something I learned how to do recently.  I found a tutorial online that was recommended by Scott Kelby...he is awesome by the way...and I really like the effect!

In this first one, I downloaded a free texture background from the internet.  I ended up not liking the download, because it was not a great resolution...so for the second and third ones, I did a photoshoot at Home Depot to get some better quality textures!  I spent 45 minutes in the store taking pictures of flooring, counter top, tile, and other building supplies.

I don't usually take the chance to have a photo shoot with my own family, but this fun pumpkin patch was just perfect!
