Mike & Tasha

I'm sad to see this cute little family move away...but it was a joy to be able to take their final family portraits in Hawaii. I always learn something from each session I do, and this time was no different.  I need to remember to intersperse individual pictures of the kids between family shots.  The little ones only tolerate about 3 minutes of pictures...so by the time I got to taking pictures of them, they were done!  hahaha!  Aloha Oe Mike and Tasha!

AHHH!!  Too many pictures!!  (hahaha!  I love this one!)

Baby Girl wasn't looking up in too many of the pictures...especially since she took my "attention-getter" and is proudly holding it in this shot!  Big Brother was not sure ice cream was worth all the posing and smiling...so I had to make a quick replacement!

Reagan

This sweet little miss came over sound asleep and stayed asleep through five of six outfit changes!  She was all of eleven days old and was such a joy to shoot.  New to this shoot are the nest prop (I made out of grapevine wreathes) and some crocheted props from my etsy shop, Playing Reindeer Games.

One before and after from the shoot.

Matthew (& Gabriel)

I had a fun shoot with a newborn this week!  I have been working on crocheting my own photo props for the past two months and Matthew's mommy was generous enough to let me play "dress-up" with him so I would have some better promotional photos. =)  He was an excellent baby model and I loved chatting with his mommy!  Here he is in some of my creations...and one of his cute older brother!

"Playing Reindeer Games" is the name of my etsy.com shop where I sell crocheted photo props.  If you would like to visit my shop, the link is here.

MCP Project 12: Love or Leap

I am participating in MCP Project 12 this year!  Each month there will be an assigned theme to ponder and capture "on film".  If you would like to participate, you can visit the website here: MCP Project 12.

This month's theme is Love or Leap.

I waited until the very last week to post for February's theme...on purpose!  I have a girl who LOVES to LEAP!  She is a hurdler and the first track meet of the year was this past Saturday.  She did awesome!  She qualified for the regional meet as a varsity on her first try...and she is only a sophomore!  I love that she loves running and being active!  Here are a few of her leaping. =)

Resolution - MCP Project 12

I am participating in MCP Project 12 this year!  Each month there will be an assigned theme to ponder and capture "on film".  If you would like to participate, you can visit the website here: MCP Project 12.

This month's theme is Resolution.

I just graduated from the University of Alaska Southeast last month with an Associates of Applied Science in Business Administration.  It took me three and a half years and it was difficult...but very worth it.  In the process of gaining wisdom...I also gained 20 lbs., by sitting in my house doing homework all day at my computer.  I live in Hawaii and haven't had the chance to really get out and enjoy it!  My interpretation of this months theme is to be more active and to get out and really enjoy the outdoors, and Hawaii.  Hiking is something I really enjoy is also a way for me to be more active!  These pictures are of Diamond Head Crater and Dillingham Airfield.  Both of these hikes were challenging to me, but I was able to make it to the top!

Rusty & Kristin

I had a lot of fun with this family!  The little one was the biggest ham and made the shoot fun and challenging. =)  I always look for a good challenge...especially one with dimples!  Dad is deploying soon and they wanted to get in a few family pictures before he leaves.
